    Electronics, updates. fails

The scanner part of my HP multi-function printer just quit. I tried updating and reinstalling the software, but it isn't scanning anymore. So frustrated. I hate trying to photograph my receipts!

And I need to upgrade my computer (cannot update to Windows 11). And upgrade my iPhone (iPhone 7 will not be supported soon).

    Argh...

I'm to the point where I'm ready to ditch anything 'tech' wise. I'm gonna buy a rotary phone, a typewriter, and a camera that uses film.

Where are you going to find those vintage things? A two-pack of disposable Fuji film cameras is on sale for $25 (from $38.48). $7.49 to develop the roll. The phone companies are doing away with land lines because they don't make parts to repair their systems. I have one as my main phone number! Can't wait to see what they will be charging me soon. Where you going to find a rotary? I have a typewriter I can sell you cheap. Not sure where you'd get ribbons. Cheaper to upgrade your tech stuff.

But -- I'm with you. I wait until I'm forced to upgrade, and then I go kicking and screaming. I don't need all that stuff. I have an old laptop, the bottom is cracked, held together with duct tape. It is one that can be used as a tablet -- don't ask me how. I never figured it out -- I already own two old tablets. I'm sticking with the ignorance and apathy approach to tech -- I don't know and I don't care.
