Fakes online
I've noticed an increase in fake accounts of people I know in Facebook and Instagram. Today is my second time being cloned in IG. One of my sisters was also cloned in IG, and the fake sent me a message, LOL.
It seems that people in my generation (Baby Boomer) are being targeted because they may have less experience online, other than email and FB. They don't know how to keep their friend list private, nor report fakes. I've been helping several of them through the process, including my sister. And it's really annoying when it takes soooo looong to get the fake taken down.
What really grinds my gears is when I get a message from a fake account - of a dead person. I reported it, and tried to contact the person's daughter. She finally replied last week and said she was working on it too. It took a few weeks to make that fake disappear.

Oh, and the other scam on the increase on FB, targeting women: Someone who comments on one of your posts, saying they have enjoyed your post or something you shared, and that if it isn't too forward, they want to be friends with you - but their friend request hasn't gone through, so can you send them a friend request. The profile in question is usually a high-ranking military man, and widowed. The photos and profile pictures are usually taken from other public sites (you can do a Google search on pictures).
