    Grocery carts for kids..

Just got back from the grocery store.....

I gotta ask......WHY do stores feel the need to have grocery carts for kids??!! The last thing an over-crowded grocery store needs, is for toddlers and kids to be running all over the store, pushing a small cart, uncontrollably!!

Starting them out young. Stores are smart, you may only want 1 or 2 things but your child will want a cart and then to put stuff into it.
Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people's things alone, and be kind to one another.

I think they read your post, I haven't seen any in a while or maybe I'm just not shopping in the right place.

I've always thought of it as being the cutest thing, a chance for a young and growing child to experience adulthood on a true level, and all while learning control and respect for others, not to mention, a chance for a mom to preoccupy the mind of a child and keep a child busy, a much better alternative to contending with an otherwise fidgety, bored, and impatient child.

I see it as an extension to help make a young child feel needed, grown-up. I remember when my first baby sibling was born, my mom had me running for bottles, diapers, you name it, and it had a way of making me feel older and more mature.

Most important of all, anytime I've come across a little one behind the wheel of a miniature shopping cart, the parents have always been really good about reminding the child of others, and that they need to keep out of the way of other shoppers. I view it as an ideal measure for early education and awareness.
