PO has me PO'd...
I am getting a whole lot of ticked off..With all of these budget cuts with the Post Office. We used to have home delivery--but with the budget cuts and roll backs they have stopped home delivery to where I live..We (all the folks out my way) were forced inot getting a PO Box at the post office--Well this has caused much confusion --as the PO is in the next county over from where I live--So things like insurance and such you have yo go thru a whole rigamarole to get folks to understand where you live--Plus the county I live has a differnt sales tax than the one where my 'address' is out of...Other things like voting I can see being a nightmare also...But the one thing that ticks me off the most is so many places I try and do a rebate with will not send a rebate to a POBOX #...Like why not??? It is my now legal address to recieve mail at...What a pain in the neck....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ask at your new post office if they have it so that you can have an address that looks like a regular address for your PO box. I know our office po box had a note about doing that within the past couple of weeks.

I'm surprised you don't have a physical address especially for 911. Folks around here are unhappy that they have to give up their PO boxes & have to buy mailboxes for their homes.
Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids.

They have a street address but the post office will no longer be doing home delivery. There is a town here in the Orlando area that has done that for years and trust me it is also where a lot of very wealthy people live (Tiger Woods just moved from that area after his wife beat the crap out of him with a golf club). They have never had home delivery in that area and never will.

Ya know wasn't the whole idea back in pony express times was to DELIVER the mail? What's the sense of having a po box, now you have to pay ransom to get your mail? Why can't they just deliver mail 3 days a week, instead of 6?

Wait you want to apply logic to the Post Office - that is not allowed by their Union (hey folks that is sarcasm).

Even funnier, since they won't be employed cuz of the layoff, no dues to collect.

You can also thank congress for being too scared to do anything.

Now get a load of this...Not only now do I have to drive to the PO to get my mail--they are going to charge me....$92.00 a year rent for a Box..........This is so wrong...
(BTW We do have a house # for 911 services...)

That is a high rate. Our office PO box is $ 72.00 per year and you can pay it once a year or $ 36.00 every 6 months. But ours are not required for our address we just have one since we don't want checks and stuff sitting in the mailbox in the hood.

Try doing the rebates in this form.
PO Box ?
123 Main St
City State Zip
Use whatever your PO box is, then your home address (House number and street name)and the city, state and zip of whatever the Post Office is.
Your mail should end up at the PO doing it this way.
