Each time they contact you after they received this letter you can sue them for $1,000 for each phone call. When I got my new cell phone this past December (got a new #) I started receiving debt collector calls for someone named Shannon. I am not Shannon, do not know a Shannon & I know I do not have any outstanding debt. They were calling 10-15 times a day. Once I wrote that letter the calls stopped in 3 days.
Good luck!
That would be a great idea except you can't get the info needed to do that.

Who's Rachael? (I'm watching a FRIENDS DVD, but I know you don't mean her. lol)
It is a recorded phone solicitation that starts out "Hi this is Rachael from Card Holder Services". But it uses different names sometimes such as Heather.

Oh okay now I understand. I have one of those who annoy me every day at work like that.

Ok. I've never had any, or if I did, I didn't answer. I never answer a number I don't know.

I get one everyday at work around 11:30 that informa me that since they had trouble finding us so do other people. Excuse me but YOU obviouly found us because YOU just called us!
The hundreds, hundreds & hundreds we paid for all of this assistance in finding new customers never paid off. BBB, Angie's List, ect. all said they had inquiries about us. Funny these supposed people never had "names" & never contacted us.
Be warned people BBS, Angie's List don't work for you.

3 calls this afternoon. Is there more than one company doing it? This one said credit card service.
On the third call I held on and pressed 1. A guy came on and I told him I didnt' have a CC. He said you don't have a credit card? I said no and click. He hung up on me and didn't give me time to tell him to quit calling and to take my number off their list.

We got two today. Like junk mail, rather than try to arrange to not get it (we really don't get that much comparatively) I just hang up and forget about it. It's annoying but a fact of life anymore.

This is why I'm glad we got a talking caller ID... Unless it's my grandmother or my husband I let ppl leave a msg. There are those that really dislike it and there are those who have my cell # if they really want to reach me... and I tell them, if you really want me to call my cell... I am a day sleeper and I am NOT going to get up for the house phone for anyone except my memaw or husband unless I am waiting for a call from the doctor. I do not know why I hate the phone so much, I have no good reason... I just really don't.
