Annoying Sales Calls
Some how, some where my home phone number was listed for my mom or in laws... I am getting constant robo-calls for hearing aids, Life Call, AARP, diabetic supplies, ect ect ect ... medical, health, and social issues for SENIORS ! I mean 15 - 20 calls a day !! I am already on the "No Call" list and most of them are automated so I can't "talk to an operator" to get off their lists.
What do ya'll recomend ?

I don't know but if you find out please tell us. I get calls from all the charities wanting me to distribute the letters for them. I never get any replies and it is a hassle. I just have to say, "No I can't do it, have a nice day" and hang up. I can't wait for them to say anything or they try to convince me.

Every time I get an unsolicited phone call I ask them to take my phone number out of their database...only thing I know to do....other than...
Diabetic Management called us on a regular basis and got nowhere with us nor I with them, telling them the above. The last time I talked to someone from there I told them that my husband was dead....haven't heard a thing from them since. (he is hale and hearty and full of pi$$ and vinegar!) It's kind of an icky thing to say but I had run out of ideas. One time they called and hubby said he wasn't diabetic and the caller asked him, "then why did you answer the phone?" Huh?

LOL, reminds me of the post lady who came to my door with a package that she could not fit into the neighborhood mailbox on the corner. She told me off not to do that again. HUH???? do what? I didn't know a package was even coming let alone it was too big to fit. Take it back to the PO and leave a note like you are suppose to do. People who do not know how to do their job then tell you off for it like it is your fault. Geesh.

Get caller ID and don't answer the phone.

Half of the calls are not even "Real" people, they are recordings.... I do have caller ID, but I still have to stop what I am doing, get to the phone, blah, blah, blah .... I am so not interested. Also Newt 2012; Romney in '12 ... don't answer those ...

Do you have an answer machine. Time to let it answer the phone all the time. You'll get the recording but don't need to stop what you are doing. Tell friends and realatives to leave a message and you will call them back. Or tell your kids to ring 2 times and you will answer on the second call.

Try what I said I did in another thread posted. Answer it "Attorney so and so's office" and they rarely call back.

Folks at Diabetic Management STILL haven't called back, after having been told my husband passed away. *knock on wood*
