Credit card counseling phone calls...ARGH!
I am so tired of running to the phone when it rings, thinking it is dh or my kids only to find out it is some recording about my credit card. "There's not a problem with it..." they start out. At the end of the call they say to press 1 if you want to talk to someone. So I pressed 1. It rang and I got a live person asking if I wanted to do something about my credit card. I said, "No, I want to be put on your 'do not call list'." CLICK...she hung up on me!! I didn't ask for your phone call in the first place and I don't want them again, DON'T HANG UP ON ME!!! That's the 2nd time it's happened! So frustrating!

I get those same calls, and I asked to be put on their do not call list and they hung up on me also.

I ask them lots of questions including the name of their company and phone numbers and they hang up then also. I am on the DO NOT CALL list and I want to report them so badly. Especially since ALL of my credit cards are paid in full every month and the only problem I have with credit is them trying to raise my credit limit or send me more cards.

I saw someplace online that said to press **## on your phone. It does something to their phone system, and they stop calling for a couple of days. I've been doing it, and it has helped some. I want to find that "Rachel" and wring her neck.

That is just a rumor and does nothing other than make a little beeping sound in their ear. You didn't receive phone calls because it uses a program to pick which #'s to call randomly. Just depends on when it spits out your # again to call.

I don't know if I get those kinds of calls... we don't have a credit card (hubby has a corp card through his job, but it only gets used like once a year, if that) so probably not. My caller I.D. talks, so if I don't know the number I don't answer... if they want to talk to me badly enough they'll leave a # for me to call them back... although, admittedly, if I don't know who it is the likelihood of me calling you back is slim to none. My doctor even calls my husband because I HATE the phone and pretty much won't answer it... ppl know to txt me if they really want me... which is quite funny, cause I hate txting more than I hate the phone... but atleast I'll respond to it lol.

My parents never had credit cards either; didn't believe in them. But they get the phone calls too. Very annoying, to say the least!

Oh, you know Rachel too? I'm getting good at hanging up quickly. she hardly has the words out of her mouth when *click.* In this instance I know there is nothing that I can do but hang up. But, most annoying!

I get these one or 2 times a week on my cell.
Same message, different number, different state.
I pressed one one time and told them not to call; they hung up on me.
I press the other number to not receive more calls, it just disconnects.
I like that it also says (this will be your LAST notice)
WTF how many 'last' notices do you give?
I've even called the number back and get a 'mailbox is full' message
If anyone has a surefire solution, please post
