Honestly, I'd just stick with "Is ____ going?" and when she says yes say sorry I cant make it. Leave it at that. She will get the hint. Anything more than that and you risk the friendship.

I hate games. If you & your friend love each other, be right up front with her, prefacing the truth with your high opinion of her, how much you care about her well-being, etc. I don't think you have to be hurtfully blunt, but be honest and let her know how much his behavior affects you. I think we have to take care of ourselves in that respect and not put ourselves in the company of people who are druggies, alcoholics, users, ne'er-do-wells, lazy oafs, disrespectful people...well you get my drift. And I feel that's a message that you need to get to your friend if possible. Honesty is not easy and you have to decide whether it's worth the risk. For some women, it's "love me, love my husband." And for me it's "not if it will make me uncomfortable and ill at ease."

They have been together 8ish years. After 10 years he will leave/or she will and she will be responsible for paying him support. You need to tell her how you feel and be supportive. But if you stand by and watch, she will resent you once it is over because of wasted years.

I figured that if you'd been friends with her since the 2nd grade that you two would be pretty open to talk and say just about anything. Atleast that's the way it is with me, I can tell my friend that her mans being a worthless piece of sh!t, and she'll agree, LOL .!!

It is a difficult situation, I cant really say I know how I would react in that exact situation... I do know when my best friends husband took after her son and beat the **** out of him when my kids and I were @ her house I let her know after they took the ******* away in handcuffs that my kids and I would not ever be over while he was around or home, and we didn't. It was hard but we were such good friends we made it work. It was hard for me to tell her but that was different cause the kids safety was in jeopardy.

I would let her know how I feel instead of just avoiding him. I would still avoid him.... unless I could make him miserable when he did tag along. I know I would be able to make him hate me so much that he would never want to tag along though! lol!!!

If she is really a true friend you should be able to be honest and the friendship will survive

I don't hang out with her much. Once a week I'll stop by her job to say hi & that's about it.

In my opinion if you are a true friend you will just tell her straight up, and if SHE is a true friend she will understand and love you anyways
