Hopefully I'll be getting a rental today for about 3 weeks til the ins. claim goes thru. In the meantime I'm looking for another car and probably another place to live. Thank you all for your concern. It's more than Aggie's shown me in the last 5 years of marriage.
Sometimes you just know when the right time has come to move on. My advice is to really consider your options before you make any drastic decisions & then get a great attorney.

I've been checking my options for a couple of months. Hired an attorney....was just waiting to get a little more money saved up to move. Hopefully I can get something done soon. This is just not the way I thought being married to Aggie would be 10 years later....fantastic, middle of the road, down the tubes. He blames it all on MEN ON PAUSE. Give me a break....I have good days and bad....but not this bad w/hormones.

Can you use the insurance money to buy a beater and then use the other money to move?
Work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching

I'm going to use the ins. money to buy a used car and the rest to move. Hopefully I'll get a fair market value on the car.

Trust me a divorce is not easy. I wouldn't wish one on my worst enemy however staying in a bad marraige is not the best option either. Trust me I went through it while sick & going in and out of the hospital. I went from being a SAHM for 25 years to having to work for a living. You can always PM me if you need a shoulder to whine on. There comes a point in your life where you have to choose if you want to be miserably happy or happliy miserable. Life is just to short to be miserable. I choose happiness.

I cannot & will not give you advice or my opinion about divorcing. I have never been married - with my luck I'd marry a knight in shining armour that does a 360 after the honeymoon & turns into a psychopath. Anyway, I'd think about it long and hard (unless you have all ready made up your mind and this was the last straw.) before jumping. You don't gotta agree with anyone on here about which road you should take or not take. In the end it is your life and you do what you feel is right for you & only you.
BTW; I didn't say it before - I'm glad your husband & yourself were not hurt.

I've been "Happy Miserable" before when I was singer. At this point I'd much rather be that way.

I waited to get married until I was 37 almost 38. This just isn't what I want or need right now. I'm getting to damn "old" for this. I had a life before and can have one again. I'm just very thankful I chose not to have children when I was young and I don't have to go thru that. I've watched my brother go thru a divorce and watched how it affected my mother with her granddaughters and not being able to see them often since my brother didn't/doesn't have full custody...only some holidays and weekends...when he wants them. I've thought about this for awhile....it's just not getting any better.

I hear ya! I wish you luck in whatever you choose to do. =)
Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.

Yes, that's what I was going to do w/the money. The car's in my name so the check will be in my name only. That really gets Aggie.
