Freaking irritating
Ok I got this neighbor across the street. Grown man that still lives with is parents. He gets a check every month because he is supposedly bipolar. He blows his money on drugs, his own mother has told me so. He gets his daughter every other weekend, but his mom takes care of her.
Every SINGLE day almost he comes over here moochin cigarrettes. He offers to buy me a pack when he gets his check sometimes, and then I am left waiting sometimes a month for that pack. My hubby has told him we can t afford our habit and his too. He knocks on my door at least 4 mornings a week WAKING ME UP to mooch a cig. I told him a hour ago I only had a few left. He saw me leave to go get my kid, and here he is again, asking for a cig. Well I didnt get cigs, I got my dang kid. I have packs here ( we bought a carton) but I am tired of handing them out.
I have told him numerous times he needs to go buy him a couple cartons every month or quit. I tell him I am out of smokes, money , etc... but he keeps coming back. It pisses me off.

I had a friend like that, always mooching smokes from me or my sister. I finally said "no more." This neighbor of yours sounds like he's harassing you and I would tell him "Leave us alone or we will call the police." You don't have to put up with his bull. Enough is enough!

I just hate it when people don't think beyond tomorrow when it comes to smokes I just tell them I don't have anymore to spare and like it or lump it to go away screw them thats my money they are smoking

Now he brings change over..anywhere from .25 to .50 for a smoke. Think I am going to buy the nastiest cheapies I can find and sell them to him one at a time LOL. I dont want to get too rude, because I do like his mom, and his daughter and mine are good friends, and he has even treated my daughter to movies, bowling, and bought her things too when he has his daughter. In fact he gave my daughter a 3D hannah montana poster cuz his daughter dont like it. So in a way, its hard for me to say no, when he does take my daughter with them ya know? I am just tired of being woke up. I dont even answer the door when I know its him..

Tell him you quit and you will no longer have any.
I'd be afraid of pissing him off seeing as his own mother says he is a druggie. I'd be scared he'd retaliate.

Yeah well we ARE quitting soon.. I'm not afraid of him.. my oldest son could whoop his arse, its just jeez.. how many times does he have to be told we cant support his habit too, and if he saved all the change he was giving me, he could buy his own.

You definitely don't want to tick off a bipolar person.
Plan A: Just look sad and tell him times are tough and you don't have any to spare.
And don't answer the door if you know it's him.
Plan B: Buy a pack of nasty cheap cigarettes and keep them for him. Tell him that's what you're smoking and only give him one at a time. And don't answer the door if you know it's him.
Plan C: Flat out lie and tell him you quit. And don't answer the door if you know it's him.
Have you tried talking to his mom about this?

Yeah, she is about at her wit's end with him, but she lets him stay cuz of his daughter. The only way he gets to see her is if his mom is with him..she tells me to tell him to KMA but I dont think thats smart lol.

wow looks like you started something that is gonna be hard to break-i would just tell him no,pure and simple-it is okay to give him a couple, but when it becomes a daily thing,to wake you up to get a cig-something has to give.so starting today, just say NO!
