FRUSTRATED- Amazon E-gift certificate status "not yet sent"
Bought an e gift certificate for a friend as a christmas gift, wanted to have to delievered via email. Ordered it yesterday, checked on the status is
I placed this order yesterday, the money has been deducted from my checking account via a valid/active debit card, and my friend has not recieved her gift certificate yet. Anyone ever had this problem? I am tearing my hair out, she had to have this today to get her gift by Xmas .

Sorry, no help here. But I hope it turns out OK. Do either one of you have Amazon Prime? Then it should get there.

Did you check the box for instant email? I know last year a friend of mine sent me an Amazon gift card and she did it on like the 15th but didn't click that and it waitied until Christmas morning to send to me.

I was wondering the same thing as April, when I read your post. When I click the box to have them send it to their email, it gets there usually within 1 hour. I've done the electronic gift certificates twice and both times, they had the email notifying them within the hour.
If you have done the above already, maybe you can call their customer support?

Hello there,
I've been going through the same problem. I know it has been a long time since this was discussed. But I need to know, how did you solve your problem? It still says "Status: Not yet sent." In their help page, they say within 15 minutes, it's been 5 hours and it makes no sense to me! Did I do something wrong? I picked "now", too!
What does "Not yet sent" mean, anyway? Like, they didn't receive it or they just didn't check their e-mail(maybe didn't claim their code?)? I'm confused, and really frustrated. Any help will be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I fixed it by cancelling the GC and resending and the person got it within an hour of me sending it
