OMG! A huge fire close to my house.

I was leaving to go to the PO to drop off some things, and low and behold I could barely see for all the smoke. When I came back home it was even worse. It is coming towards my house, but if the wind changes it may come this way. It has burned over 1000 acres so far, and is still burning. Needless to say, my son and I are not going outside, unless we have to evacuate. I feel bad for the houses it got close to, but so far it doesnt look like it got any. Its all country out here, hardly any houses, but lots of dead grass.

Stay safe and get out if you need to, start getting things ready just in case.

Well its out now.. fwww. No telling how many acres now, but I am sure its way over that 1000 now. I have a duffle bag by my door with some stuff in it, just in case. Last year there was a fire right outside my door, but luckily there was a water truck watering down the street, and caught it. Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts. It was a close one.
