I have no patience with some people

Yesterday Gson and i were outside, I was letting him run and play.

I saw some kittens and a mama cat. They were not frightened although they didn't run to us. All of them were fairly tame. Today I got within touching distance of them.. I have never seen that cat around here before.

Every year about this time people start getting rid of cats and dogs down our road. They drive down the road usually in the middle of the night and then there is new animals here. Every year I try to feed them so they will stay out of the road and every year I bury several dogs and cats that were hit on the road.

What is wrong with people. One year a pregnant cat was thrown out, this one I actually heard the car door slam and looked out the window and saw the car take off and saw the cat . She got hit on the highway and she had an oozing sore on her leg. I never could get close to her, she gave birth to 6 kittens and then abandoned them. I found them and tried to save them but they died. a couple of days later she was hit again and I buried her.

It woudl have been better if the owner had just shot that poor animal rather than put her through all that she went through.

I have no patience for ppl like that either. If you are not going to spay and neuter an animal you shouldn't own one. It's your responsibility to take care of them like it's your responsibility to take care of your child end of story. It really upsets me when ppl treat animals or humans that way, they are NOT disposable and it's b/c idiots like that that the animal population is so high and why so many of them are being put to death in shelters every day and of course dumped in places like where you live. I could never in my life imagine getting a furbaby to turn around and abandon them in a world they are not familiar with.

People are just stuipd. I volunteer in animal rescue and I can't tell you how many animals we find who apparently got pregnant, got cancer, etc. who are just thrown out. Yeah - like it is the animal's fault! I've started dreading spring b/c of all the kittens.

The mom who abandoned her kittens probably knew they were dying. That is one of the hardest things to see - a mom separate the litter, or abandon the whole litter. I guess instinct tells them not to waste resources on the ones who will die anyway, but it still sucks. I know we've had litters brought to us who were abandoned and even w/bottle feeding and the best care we could give they still passed.

Thank you for helping the ones you can & providing a peaceful resting place for the others!

i know my stepdad drug home more animals when he worked the forest service, lol they would abandon them in the state parks and such, and he'd always bring them home.

Hugs... I bet those lil animals are very greatful for you! I can't stand people that get an animal and then decide its not working for them. Like when I got to my local shelter, I see on a cage I couldn't keep because we have too many, or doesn't get along with other animals or no time, or moving. Hello.. the animal didn't ask to move from his home.

This is so depressing. I'm a strong advocate for spay/neuter and pet adoption and I can't stress this enough. People who abandon animals like this are the "scum of the earth" in my mind. Note to all, in many areas there are groups that "catch and release" feral cats. They spay or neuter and release them back into the wild, as most of these cats would be unadoptable, but at least they can no longer breed and produce more "unwanted" animals.

We have the same problem here. I think our property is a dumping ground. New animals just keep showing up. Right now, we have 2 mommas we found while they were pregnant. We brought them into our home to have their babies. So now I have a total of 8 kittens I'm trying to place in homes. And on top of that, there's another momma who I can't bring in yet cause she's apparently had her litter somewhere outside. We tried following her but haven't found them yet. She will come to us and let us pick her up so she's not feral. She's been dumped. We put food bowls out everyday for the strays and I'm sure when the kittens are old enough, she'll start bringing them to the bowl. I'm hoping because she isn't afraid of us, her babies won't be either. If nothing else, I've got a live trap to catch the little buggers in.

    People just piss me off.
I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
