Final Conclusion
Freebeemom Don't forget to return the book if you get a refund.
Thanks for the reminder Freebee
Well, the verdict is in. Before I could contact Amazon via phone, they responded to my email. They are willing to refund me the price of the book but not the expedited shipping fee I paid. As I only paid $1.50 for the book, the lions share of the purchase was the shipping, I have no legs to stand on. Literally, it would cost me more then $1.50 to mail the mutilated book back, even media mail. I am not completely discouraged with Amazon because of my positive experiences with the other 11 seller, there is always one rotten apple in the bushel. I would just cautious everyone to be careful, even with positive feedback, good sellers can go bad.

I understand that good sellers go bad. Did you ask her to reimburse you for the expedited shipping vs media mail?
Desperate times for desperate people....unfortunately, there are people like that. Post her user name so we can avoid .

I'm sorry you got the response you did from Amazon. I'm also surprised. I guess it depends on how much time you're willing to spend on this, but if it were me, I'd still call them. That's BS. You should get back the difference between the 2 shipping charges.
I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
