Thread: Has anyone ordered from Lakeside Collection

Yep - they are associated with LTD and ABC Distributing. However, the later two usually shi0p what is in stock and backorder the rest.

I've ordered from them many times and the only problem I've had is their slow shipping. Sometimes it can take a month or longer to get my items. I don't like that but they do eventually come and have never been broken or damaged.


I've never had a problem like yours with them but I hope you can get something worked out soon.

I ordered from them once. Had a problem with a damaged item. When I called them they wanted me to return the item before they would ship me a new one. Now this was like a $10 item and I had placed a $200+ order. I was very upset becasue it does take them soooo long to ship items.. I got very ugly with them and told them that I woul dnever order from them again. I explained that they had my cc# so if they were worried that I would not return the damaged item, they could always charge my card if they didn't get it back. But I needed the replacement shipped out asap. Also had trouble getting them to pay for return shipping. Everything finally worked out to my satisfaction, but I felt I had to pull teeth to get to that point.

I've ordered from them numerous times and am always pleased with what I have received. I've been amazed at the quality when the prices are rock bottom.

However, that being said, I agree that shipping can be notoriously slow and sometimes things are back-ordered. However, they have never held up shipping what was in stock to wait for the back ordered stuff.

This last order I placed I received the wrong item. I called them, complained, and they requested that I return the wrong item. (Personally, I thought that was petty of them because it was a $6 item.) I said I would return it when they sent me a return shipping label. I didn't ask...I told them! The CS rep told me that that the label they sent me would only cover the wrong item and if I needed to return something else, I would have to pay for that shipping separately.

As it happens, I did need to return something else...and I used the same shipping label that was sent to me. I just included the same items together. I mean...come on...what difference did it make?

And...you know what...it didn't. Both items were credited back to my account.

So, even though there can be some shipping problems, I still like their merchandise (particularly around the holidays) and it's worth it to me to deal with the other.

I have never ordered from them but have from ABC. My account was stolen, hacked or what ever you want to call it. I had made an order , the order were for 3 items. I got the first 2 items but the 3rd never showed up. I checked the site and it said that it was on backorder so I waited another month or so ( I actually forgot about it). I got an email saying that they wanted their money. I logged on , or tried to and found out that it was my name on the account and even my phone number but the address was changed and it was someone in Texas that had actually recieved my order. I contacted ABC and they said they would basicly write it off. Why they didnt do a follow up on the address that it was shipped to is beyond me. I canceled my account with them.
