OMG This makes me SICK!
How in the world could ANYONE do this:
Kevin Petty, the Lindale reserve police officer whose daughter died Tuesday after he allegedly left her in the back seat of his pickup for several hours, has been charged with manslaughter, a second-degree felony.
Smith County Jail records show Petty, 34, was booked into jail at 3 p.m. today and released a short time later after posting $25,000 bond.
Authorities said Petty left the child in his truck Tuesday morning when he parked it at Lindale City Hall, then took another vehicle to a class in Canton, about 30 miles away. He telephoned police on his way back in the afternoon after realizing he forgot the child was still in the truck, officials said. Temperatures on Tuesday reached the upper 90s.

I know people make mistakes but for the life of me I don't see how you can forget your own child is in the car with you. I don't know how far his home is from the city hall but you would think he'd remember putting the child in the car. This seems to happen a lot lately.

In Ripley, TN today a 16 or 18 month old died after the mother left it in the car while she went in to visit a friend.

Sadly a woman here killed her dog after leaving it in the car for several hours. She was sentenced to two years for Cruelty to Animals, Depraved Indifference, and something else. A pity that these "people" who "forget" their children in overheated vehicles will never serve the same or even close to the same.
Laissez les bon temps rouler! Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.** a 4 day work week & sex slaves ~ I say Tyt for PRESIDENT! Not to be taken internally, literally or seriously ....Suki ebaynni IS THAT BETTER ?

Sometimes I think people think more of animals than they do babies ot children. I saw on a court show the other day a woman was breast feeding her newborn baby. Her milk wasn't good for the baby and he died a month or so later. You should have seen this baby he was nothing but skin over bones when he died. And you know what setence she got five years probation. The judge said her having to live with what she did was punishment enough. I couldn't believe it. She'd have to have been blind not to know that baby was suffering. Why didn't she go buy formula or something? He literally starved to death. Be glad you didn't see what this baby looked like after he died it still haunts me to this day.

Re: OMG This makes me SICK!
how sad I will never understand how someone can forget their child or pet in the car. When I take my dog for a car ride I NEVER leave her in the car alone nor do I forget that she is w/ me.. probably b/c she's on my lap almost the whole time and when she's not she's trying to get on my lap but still... *shakes head* how very tragic.
