Well, I guess he was feelin a wee bit guilty cause he brought the gift back yesterday. He said 'I am sorry I hurt stepsons feelings. I am going to rent an apt close so I can see the baby. I realize I have problems w/ women and I am sorry I hurt you.'... I dunno what to think of it. I'd like to believe it could be true for his own sake but I know from personal experience that it's usually a wad of crap. I do know that he did NOT ask for another chance, so maybe there is hope that he wasn't just spewing what he thought she wanted to hear and she did not invite him to stay or engage in any further conversation... so who knows what he'll do.
BTW, he is a state to state trucker, so he is only in DFW 2 days a week... so he isn't around alot anyways. He knows he's not allowed back at the house too, so I think she'll be ok.

Pond scum is higher than this loser. I hope she has the strength to keep him away! The best to do for her is be loving and supporting. Get her to a support group, as well. The family's love is great, but she needs to be around other woman who have been there.
