Did anyone see the Oprah show with Tyra Banks on there? She was commentating on a fashion show, and she herself said that she was not a size "0" or "1". She is a size 8/10. All runway models are not sticks. If an 8 or a 10 is considered a plus size by Hollywood standards, then why does Tyra have all of these top modeling and fashion agencies knocking down her door?
Until you wear a gown and hold a gavel, YOU SHOULDN'T BE JUDGING ANYONE...

Yeah it's a frickin double standard! Don't get me wrong, I am proud to be skinny, white and female but there's a WHOLE lot more people coming up to me calling me scrawny, skinny, "too" skinny etc than there are skinny people calling "plus sized" woman "fat","obese" etc.
I guess people assume it's ok to tell me to eat yet, I would be offensive if I yanked that damn twinkie out of their mouth!
I don't WANT to be as thin as I am but this is the way it panned out.
My friends say stuff like "If Kellie turned sideways we'd never see her" Or "Do you need me to open the automated doors for you? I don't think it can see you"
They're joking. I know they aren't trying to hurt my feelings but if I remarked back in the same fashion, would their feelings be hurt???
There is a big difference between calling someone who is thin a stick, and calling a large person fat or obese. A very big difference!!! Most people who say that about someone who is very thin is just jealous!!! Can you say the same thing about the remark about the fat person????? I don't think so.
(Yeah, I'm fat too - a size 20 and hating it!)

IMO I don't think it is a jealousy thing, me personally, it's from being teased all of my life becasue I am large. I think if they can call me fat, then I am going to call them sticks...my hubby calls them toothpicks...:-) either way, it's not right, I'm not saying it is. Everyone should just accept the size differences in different people.
freebies are like potato chips....you can't have just one!!

look...there are always going to be people who are so damned unhappy in themselves or arrogant thinking they matter more than others who are going to state their opinion to fat/thin people...
so. for me..i dress nicely..i bathe daily, i wear perfume,. my hair smells nice..i take care of my kids..& home..and well the rest of the crap is small ..so i refuse to worry about someones opinion who i don't know and whose impact on my life is minimal at best..
for their opinion to count i have to actualy CARE what they say.
brass tax ladies & gents...thin or fat, we need to stop being so sensitive about it..yes i KNOW how hard that is..but i am much happier now...
be happy with y'selves..and don worry what others say...
as for hollywood? these folks are so mental as to be unreal....reality isn't as they portray it to be......

I respectfully disagree and I am BIGGER than you are. I think calling anyone "stick" is as bad as calling them "lardo", or something equally as charming.
