    Elvis music - Theater Performance!

I hope this is allowed. I'm the stage manager for a play in Toledo, "All Shook Up" - a play built around Elvis music! It opens Thursday and is available through streaming Thursday-Sunday. Streaming available August 5-8, 2021. The cost is $17 for streaming. We have a teen cast, and some of them are amazing! This is not for my financial gain - I'm trying to help build our audience because musical theater royalties are not cheap. The background set is all done up with Elvis images, and of course, the story line involves romance. There is singing and dancing that will make you want to join right in! Please consider supporting the arts and live theater. Thanks!

If we are friends on FB, I've been posting some pictures of rehearsals, cast members, and the set. Check it out!

Woo-hoo! Opening night was packed at the amphitheater - if we had held this indoor at the Toledo Rep, we would have been sold out That means over 200 tickets!
The outdoor venue has more space, but I heard parking was an issue. About an hour ago, the production team was informed that we hit that number again for ticket sales for tonight! Those sales figures did not include people who bought streaming passes so they could view at home.
I am so stoked for the teen cast, and so happy that our audience is coming out to support the theater. Musicals are not cheap - royalties a much steeper than regular plays, so this is all good news.

That's great! I'm going to try and stream it this weekend.
I'll have to wait until my nephews go home, otherwise I'll be distracted the whole time. lol

We had a small party at the theater where most of the cast and production team were treated to a streaming show of our play. It was entertaining to listen to and see their reactions to watching themselves perform, and nice to have them all together in a social, non-working situation. And they were so sweet! They brought gifts to the production team (director, asst. director, music director, choreographer, and me, the stage manager). Of course I cried when I saw their autographs on an old 45 record. They also gave me a sliced polished geode, since I had given each of them a tumbled fluorite stone - representing that they were all of one thing (this show) yet all uniquely different. They wanted me to have my own 'Jailhouse Rock' as a memento.

What a lovely thought and gesture!

Very nice of them to give you a signed record! What a great idea. Sounds like everyone got along great! What a wonderful cast.

I'm still hoping to stream the show this afternoon. Not sure what time the kiddos are leaving though.
