General Hospital...catching up
Since they discontinued One Life to Live...some of the characters had moved over to General Hospital. I miss it sometimes due to what is going on in life....so be it.
Okay...so Todd & Starr had joined the group @ GH...but now Todd is Franco & Starr is a long lost Quartermaine? Did they just change characters or did those characters evolve?
Did he character change because of the Hulu AMC launch? (Which BTW I won't pay to subscribe too! lol)
Can someone please tell me what is going on???!! Thanks

They had to change characters because Todd, Starr, and McBain are licensed to the company who is putting OLTL on Hulu. You can now watch AMC and OLTL on regular Hulu. I wouldn't pay to watch them either. I read in a magazine last week we can now watch for free so two days ago I found OLTL and watched the first 5 episodes. I'm not happy about them being Franco, Kiki, and I can't even remember the name of the other character. I also don't like how they are rewriting history to make Franco not so evil. I would have rather the actors just not come back at all but my son said maybe they were under contract at GH so that is why they made them different characters. Todd is on OLTL on Hulu in the episodes I have watched so far. The other characters keep referencing him being in Port Charles. Maybe this weekend I'll find time to watch the second chapter of OLTL. I hope this helps you some. It has been very confusing.

General Hospital's Anthony Geary to Exit:
'I Don't Want to Die on the GH Set'
TVLine - Kimberly Roots - 2 days ago
The next time General Hospital‘s Luke leaves town, it’s going to be for good. (No, really.)
GH vet Anthony Geary will exit the ABC soap for good when his current contract is up, he tells TVInsider.
Geary will shoot the daytime drama through late June; his episodes will air through late July.
“I’m just weary of the grind and have been for 20 years,” says the Emmy winner, who has played Luke Spencer since 1978. “I really don’t want to die, collapsing in a heap, on that GH set one day. That wouldn’t be too poetic.”
“So that’s why the series is bringing back Genie Francis’ Laura,” who was Geary’s character’s romantic partner for many years, you say? Not necessarily.
“Genie and I agreed several years ago that the love of Luke and Laura had run its course,” he says. “They have children together and a very storied history, and there’s definitely still love there, but I think they’re toxic to each other at this point.”

Anthony Geary is leaving 'General Hospital' after nearly three decades
Published May 09, 2015 ·Associated Press
Actor Anthony Geary, whose character Luke Spencer's marriage to Laura in 1981 on "General Hospital" was the biggest moment in daytime television history, is leaving the soap opera after nearly three decades in the role.
It was Geary's decision to leave, and he'll be written out of the ABC show for an episode that will air later this summer, executive producer Frank Valentini said Friday.
"Anthony is our friend and a part of our television family, but, as difficult as this may be, we understand and respect that this is his choice," Valentini said.
More than 30 million people tuned in to watch Luke marry Laura, considered a storybook event despite the creepy backstory of Laura falling in love with her rapist. Actress Genie Francis, who played Laura but hasn't been on "General Hospital" since 2013, will return this summer to participate in the story of Luke's exit, ABC said.
Geary, 67, began playing Luke in 1978 but left the show in 1984. He returned in 1991 but, tired of the character, played Luke's lookalike cousin. Audiences didn't like it, however, so the cousin was killed off and Geary resumed playing Luke in 1993, and has remained with the show since then.
Geary told TVInsider.com that he was "weary of the grind and have been for 20 years.
"There was a point after my back surgery last year where it became clear to me that my time is not infinite," he said. "And I really don't want to die, collapsing in a heap, on the 'GH' set one day."
Geary said he wasn't retiring, however. He spends much of his nonworking time in a second home in Amsterdam, and said he's looking forward to spending more time there.
ABC wasn't saying Friday how Geary's unsavory character will be written out of the show. Geary said he thought suicide was an option but didn't think the audience or network would stand for it.
"If I were in his place, I'd go to Tibet or Nepal on some kind of spiritual journey, even though he's an atheist," Geary told TVInsider.com. "He needs to be at peace."
