People forget that her parents could have said NO, she can not be on tv until she is old enough to handle what is coming. They could have said, NO to the entire thing.

She has the right to a private life, just as I do. She did not give up that right just because she appears on TV.
I do not blame any celebrity for what a child chooses to do. The parents are responsible for their own children. To go blame Miley for your child's choices, because she was an idol of that child, is wrong. She never consented to be your child's mentor. That would be the parenting thing you get when you have a child.
And, I control my house, and the TV here.

I agree her parents got her into this, she was a minor, they had to sign off. She certainly is enjoying the benefit of her career (which is money made from her fan base).

I don't agree that a celebrity has the same amount of privacy due them as you and I do. They make their money being public, for the good and bad, that's how they make their money. Should there be a camera attached to them 24/7? No, however, they chose to live in the limelight.....there is a price for that.

Now, my child has not done anything wrong that I am blaming Miley for other than capture the character's attitude from the show a few times which, the show was banned in our home on a few occasions. I know the difference between parenting and having an idol.

Who here never dressed in Madonna style? or imitated a celebrity's "look", etc.? I guess your parents where horrible too, huh?

I am using this event with my child, as I stated earlier, to show her the poor decisions that she (Miley) is making.

I doubt she let down her fan base. I'm sure young people aren't going to be so critical and judge her over one incident. Now, Adults are a whole other story.....If you want to criticize her because she done something you do not agree with, go for it.

but is there an ACTUAL video where we can see her face and tell that it's her?? That pic that's shown in the OP could be anyone. Actually, it doesn't even look like her IMO.

And is there an actual video of Billy Ray saying a COMPLETE sentence, referring to the video. (You know how these news stories like to clip together bits and pieces of interviews, to make celebs say what they want.) He could be saying "I'm so sad, I had no idea"...to anything.

(I don't watch TMZ or any other entertainment shows, so I don't know what ''proof'' is out there)

Lastly, I don't condone smoking pot, and I've never done it myself.......
but is this REALLY that big of a deal anymore?? Remember the big fuss everyone made about Michael Phelps when he was caught smoking a bong? Does anyone care about that anymore??
