Memolink Gold Status
I lost my gold status earlier this summer, so it's slower going. But how the heck do you get "star quality?"
There are 10 little empty stars at the top of my page. I realized that because I had just cashed out and had only a hundred or so points that I wouldn't have any stars filled. However, since then, I have completed an offer for 8,000, and I'm now over 10,000 points, and still not a single star filled in. I thought I might get at least one filled in with an offer, but no. (And I'm still 9,000 points from the lowest cashout.)
So what's it take? I know another poster mentioned that it's now very subjective, and it certainly seems that way. I'll probably never get gold again.

Re: Memolink Gold Status
Are you sure the offer you did had "star status"? If so, write and ask them why your stars didn't fill up.
To become Memogold you must become Star Quality
When you earn points from offers that have a star status, your star level fills up. Memolink members who fill up their star level completely become Star Quality and have the option to become Memogold members for 6 months. Once you become Star Quality, in order to activate your Memogold membership, you must log into your account and visit the Membership page in the My Account section. You can maintain your Memogold status by filling up your star level again within your 6 month membership. It's just that easy!
Renewing Memogold Membership
At the end of your 6 month membership period, your Memogold status will expire. If you have filled up your star level completely so that your Star Quality within that 6 month membership period, you will be eligible to renew your Memogold status. To renew, simply visit the Membership page in the My Account section to activate your Memogold membership.
Remember, you must activate your membership!
To activate your Memogold membership for the first time or to renew your Memogold membership after your 6 month period has expired, you must have reached St
ar Quality and you must visit the Membership page in the My Account section. So earn those points and show off your Star Quality as a Memogold member and enjoy the many benefits available exclusively to our most elite members!

Re: Memolink Gold Status
It was the Blue Dolphin offer, and it says it does count towards Memogold. Guess I'll e-mail them. Thanks!

My stars were all filled till a few days ago when it went back down to only one star. I don't understand because I thought everyone who was already gold at the time of the new site start, got their gold status extended for a few months. I wish there was a better explanation of the program.

Re: Memolink Gold Status
my son is memogold and gets the extra points and lightning trivia, but has only 1 star, so don't think the stars reflect current status, just some mystical place where we all get rich and stupid and buy everyting thru memogold., That is the only way I can see that the star meter will fill up for real

Re: Memolink Gold Status
I did get and answer from Memolink. Their response was:
There is not a standard points value that we have set to give you that would tell you how many points fill in the stars. It is based on a monetary commission your account earns from completing offers for points and that is an internal process and calculation. Members have no access to this data and unfortunately nor will it be provided to members. You will just have to guage it as your star counter begins to fill in as you complete offers and are awarded points.
You are correct, though. The Blue Dolphin completion IS for star-status, however, it may not have been enough points to completely fill a star (which is why you do not see any stars filled).
Geesh-most subs cost about $20, and it's not star worthy? Whatever. And re: the stars just for "clicking on the links and stuff, no purchases" is surprising since they all but said that just clicking links and doing trivia wouldn't be enough to earn Memogold.
Whatever; I'm going to give it a while longer to see if I stay with them.

Thanks. That's really good to know. I don't think any of us will keep our gold status then, since we won't have any idea how close we are and be stimulated to take them up on an offer, if we aren't sure it's going to help in time. It's too confusing.
