Thread: Heart is breaking

Good evening all,

I had been unable to locate the BBS forums for a long while. As I was going through and reading some posts, some from a ways back, it hit me hard, how many of our old longtime members and friends have passed away. I myself have hit health issues including a failing heart where it was necessary for me to wear a life vest which is basically a mobile defibrillator. I have also been diagnosed with stage 3B Chronic Kidney disease. I am fortunately still on this side of the earth, but reading all these posts where others aren't, makes me cry and reminisce about the old forum. We weren't all just "cyber" friends but friends on a personal and deeper level. If the oldies whose names are still showing are still here, let's reach out to each other and then bring in new friends and get this place rolling again. I will even offer to be a moderator if asked. Please PLEASE lets be a family again.

I have often wondered about some of the old-school members on this forum. I am friends with aa few on FB (four or five that I can think of). It would be interesting to catch up now.
When I first joined BBF, I was married and living in Texas. I think my friend in Houston referred me here - she had also introduced me to MyPoints as a good reward program. I still do MP, but my friend passed away several years ago. I'm now divorced (and my ex passed away last week) and I'm living in Ohio with my 'almost husband' for about ten years now. The one thing I feel I must pass along - make sure all your legal documents (wills and the like) are clear and neat, and that everyone who needs to know does know about your wishes.
