Give Back Box - A way to help others and the post office
http://www.givebackbox.com/works
I have been sitting on donations because during the stay at home order we have been keeping busy by cleaning out the closets and going through things and finding things we no longer need or want or fits, some with the tags on and not being able to drop them off. You can ship items free of charge through this organization. This helps the postal service, living out in the sticks we rely on the postal service heavily, I know many seniors receive their medicine through the mail. The Government in its infinite wisdom blames the postal service for not being profitable, when they are the ones who set the price of postage, it is like working with one hand tied behind your back. I am going to be careful about the weight of the items and the size of the box and although I could sent several boxes I'm limiting myself to just a couple and sending them from our small town post office in an effort to help keep them open. Help yourself, help others and help the postal service all at once. I do not feel bad about not giving everything locally because everyone I know has a trunk load of "STUFF" and our local services will probably be overwhelmed when things start to open. Please read the instructions and limitations. Then share how many boxes you have sent so we can all read about it.
Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people's things alone, and be kind to one another.
