    My mom is dying

My mom, who has dementia, is not expected to last the night. She is in Denver and I am in South Bend, IN so I can't sit with her until God calls her home. My brother Thom, who lives in Denver is out of town on business. So all mom has is Denise, her daughter in law. Thank God for her, it would kill me if she died alone. The reason I did not fly out to Denver is that we didn't know when mom would pass.

So any prayers for my mom's soul would be welcome. Her name is Jean

Prayers for a peaceful passing. This time has to be really difficult for your family, and my heart aches for you tonight. Wishing you strength and peace of mind during this experience. Even if we can anticipate such things, it is still a shock and one i s rarely fully prepared. ((HUGS))

When my mom passed away in 1994, the first Christmas without her was really hard. My (then) husband and I would drive up to visit her on Christmas Day after we had been working at a long arts and crafts event (10-16 days in a row) for the years after my dad passed, so when we started to take down our booth, it suddenly hit me that we wouldn't be doing that for that holiday, and I started crying right then. I felt like I had no place to go, and that Christmas wasn't Christmas that year. I hope you can spend some time with good memories of the holidays, instead of the sadness.

How are you doing? My husbands' father passed in early October and with Easter and all this with the virus it's been especially hard. Just thought I'd check in on you.
