New Year's Traditions
Southern tradition calls for a New Year's meal with pork, black eyed peas, and cabbage - symbolic of health, luck, and prosperity in the coming year. What traditional foods are celebrated in other regions ?

Well, WELCOME BACK!!
How are things going? How is the rebuilding coming along?

Slow. Very slow. Due to struggles with the insurance company, everything has pretty much been on hold. We did get a FEMA trailer and we're able to move in just before Thanksgiving. Not much room - or cash - so Christmas was kinda lean
I am glad my kids are older. I feel so bad for families with little ones. This week, we started the work of rebuilding. Everything is gutted to bare studs - bathrooms included. Next is to empty the attic to vacilitate running all new wiring and replacement of duct work. Then we work from the inside out. It will be summer before we can expect to be home.
So, what's for dinner tomorrow?
