I was just thinking or in my case
Wishing I hit the lottery
So I could open don't laugh a cat spa
Don't get me wrong I love dogs
But you don't see to many cat only
Places.

Tell what you think about my crazy idea

You do realize that cats by nature are very territorial so having a group of them together probably won't work out very well. I have 4 of them and they get along for the most part. I have a brother/sister duo & then my son brought in the "Finnish princesses". They do have their moments & we also have to do an occasional kitty time-out.

I agree with you that cats are thought of as second rate but I wouldn't trade my crew in for anything.

On a sad note; one of my sister's kitties passed away last night. R.I.P Mia on the rainbow bridge.

Yeah, sorry, but its not a good idea.
Most cats don't even like leaving the house, trying to put a cat in a cat carrier is always a struggle.

Instead of a cat spa, how about a cat no-kill shelter, so cats who never find homes, like older ones can live out their years.

There is a place here that is a combination Cat Rescue/Cat Spa ... they keep cats when people gone on trips, provide grooming and such, AND act as a cat rescue and adoption center. They converted an old home in the Garden District with several rooms and themes.

I think it's a good idea............HOWEVER, I wouldn't try it. We have 1 cat (Aggie's) and he's very territorial, doesn't like to be boarded if we go out of town or leave for a long period of time. Getting him in a cage is an all day affair. I will agree that cats can take care of themselves. We've left our cat for as long as 2 days in the house and he's fine w/extra water/food, toys. Dogs (we have 3) on the other hand we board or take with us. There's no way I'd leave the dogs w/the cat. Someone would be hurt by the time we've gotten back.

Still I think it's a good idea. I just wouldn't invest in it.

Or with my daughter they fuss and fight. So I guess your right about cats
