A continental is a lot bigger than a marquis. Continental is what use to be a big competitor with Cadillac. Marquis are a Mercury and they are definitely Granny cars. They use to use a lot of them for police cars but they don't put police interceptor engines in rental cars.

Totally off topic, but we used to have a Grand Marquis as well. I called it my hubby's land yacht. Even when we replaced it at 10 years old...it still was running so smoothly and comfortably. AND...the trunk...I made my two grown children get in it once just to show how big it was. Gosh, we still miss that car.
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

Sorry I am in Orlando. The highways are not that big a deal in Tampa. You would be fine driving down there - we are all use to tourists in Florida.
