Thread: I'm ' Disappointed

I am a reformed nail biter, nasty habit I know but it has been 2 years so I am thrilled. I was looking at my fashion magazines & saw OPI's Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. Nice colors & they have a crackle finish. I had a really hard time finding a store that had it. I finally found it at ULTA. What they didn't show/have/explain to me that you have to buyt a "special" top coat for it to crackle.

No biggie but I did pay $8.50 for a bottle of nail polish I could have paid .99 at Sally's & bought a whole heck of a lot of different shades. It is a nice color but eh...it was $8.50.

It crackles with out the top coat.. the top coat just makes it shiny.. Trust me, We've been using it for weeks here and I even have pics on FB.

You should maybe take another look at the ad... I've seen it in all 3 of the magazines I subscribe to and they ALL show the top coat bottle... whether it crackles w/ or w/out it I don't know... but they definitely show it.

It is matching with the finger shade and also it is a good design and here we can guess the art of creativity because is a good work and it comes in creativity and from here we can guess the talent of person.

Elle...where did you find the black? There were 5 bottles of this Pirates thing left at Ulta & I didn't see black at all. Your nails do look nice. I do like the grey/green color I bought. I am just proud that I haven't bitten my nails in 2 years. To be honest I didn't look at the ads that clearly mainly because I need to get new glasses.

I got it at a local salon in the mall. I originally went in there to buy "Suzi loves cowboys' but saw the shatter and got that instead. I know it's part of the Serena Williams and Katy Perry line. They are also coming out with I think 4 other shatter colors.

My manicurist carries it (I'm not a fan myself)...and she calls it a 'shatter' finish.

A little off the subject, but I bought some light pink polish for just plain nails and it goes on streaked. Any clues if it's the polish or me?

Did you mix it up enough or could it be old? I just usually buy the 99 cent bottles of polish at Sally's. They are tiny bottles so I can normally use it up before it gets old.
