Grilling, charcoal or propane?
I absolutely love the taste of charcoal over propane.
Charcoal takes longer to light and wait for it to heat up for the food. Although the coals last a long time for cooking.
BUT, this year I went and bought a propane grill, and I do have to say, it is nice coming home from work, and just going out on the porch and pushing a button and instantly it's ready. No pouring the charcoal, spraying it with lighter fluid, getting it going, and waiting for the coals to get just right. I will still use my charcoal from time to time though when I have more time, like on a weekend or something.
What do you like to cook on the grill, what kind of grill?
Anyone have any tastey recipe that you throw out on the grill?

Charcoal, but with hickory chips soaked in water for smoke. I'm more of a smoker than a griller. Propane scares the he!! outta me!
If you use a chiminy the coals will get hot super fast.

The grill I have is an Old Smokey. I LOVE IT! You can grill and smoke in it, and the best part is its Made In The USA!!! http://www.oldsmokey.com/Rudeness is the weak person's imitation of strength.

Neither. Our barbeque grill is hooked up to our natural gas line. That's really nice as you never run out of propane or charcoal.
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

We use propane when we want to grill something quick, like hamburgers and hot dogs, but we use charcoal when we want to infuse that yummy smokey flavor in most other things, like pork steaks, chicken, etc.

Charcoal for the win, definitely. Lighting the charcoal is part of the barbecue experience. Propane makes it too easy with no added flavor.
