    Have any ideas?

My son put a plastic cup of macaroni and cheese in the microwave without putting water in it first.(It was one of the almost premaid mac and cheeses) Anyway, by the time he got back to it, it had completely melted(the cup), and now any time you use the micro, it smells like burning plastic.
I have washed it down with vinegar, and cleaned it over, and over. The smell is coming out of the vents, and I can't clean them out.
Any idea how I can get rid of the horrid smell???
    TIA

Have you tried setting a bowl of baking soda in it overnight? That might absorb the odor.
