    Pregnancy book ideas

One of my very best friends just recently found out she is pregnant.

Its her first and shes scared chitless.

What books do you guys recommend?
She already has the "what to expect" books.

I thought about getting her a journal that she can keep track of her feelings and health with, but I also wanted to get her something with real advice with a funny twist.
Don't make me get out my flying monkeys.

State Farm used to give out a very nice book about pregnancy, and the first yr or 2 of the child's life. It was free. You just had to have a code and it was something common.
I think someone even told the code on here one time. It wasn't a funny book though. I think the journal is a wonderful idea.

The "What to Expect" book is excellent. Seems docs in our area give that one out now, mine did not, I bought it.

I can tell you, don't buy "A Child is Born" that book freaked me out!

I think their is a book "Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" that is fun. You would have to check reviews. Otherwise a nice pregnancy calendar would be great.
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.

Hmmmm are you sure its for a friend??? Sounds kinda fishy to me.

Honestly buy her a book about teenage years. Those are by far the hardest to get through...LOL.

The girlfriends guide to Pregnancy was very good and funny. Thats the one I recommend.
Also, that state farm book, I think you need to get it from ebay now or something. State farm doesnt give it away anymore.

Don't think I won't get in my car and go down there and whip your arse! I could be back by closing time and no one would know I was gone! LOL

The pregnancy calendar is great. I love looking at mine and used to look at and talk about it with my son, before he got to cool for that (he's 17).
