I 'lost' mine once headed up north, in MD they have a rest area in the middle of the highway,,,I was heaed north and went out the south bound doors and could not find it...Saw a trooper and told him my car was gone...The first thing he asked..was what way was I headed..and kindly directed me to the right doorway...I felt soooooooo stupid....

I had just bought a "new to me car" I went to the store, walked out and walked over to a Cougar like I used to have, got in and couldnt figure out why the key wouldnt work....
The owner came over and was like, can I help you? so embarassing! my new car was two cars over
I did something like that once ... couldn't get the door to open with my key ... lady walked up and asked what I was doing. I was saying I didn't understand why the key didn't open my door - she said "it's not your car" and the van just beyond us pulled out .... showing my exact matching car. Same model, year, color ... everything.

I've been known to walk around a parking lot pressing the 'unlock' button on the key fob to hear the 'beep'......

Yes. A few months ago. The day before my surgery I had to drive to the outskirts of Philly to wait for my ds to finish class & take the train to where I was. It was a mall I was never at before so I went out the wrong door at Penney's...in the pouring rain..in February...in the dark.

Yes, I have 5 years ago. It was at Christmas time and the stores were packed w/people and cars. My friend and I walked around for 2 hours and still couldn't find my car. Finally, I called Aggie and wouldn't you know he pulled up right next to my car. Never felt so "dumb" in all my life. I haven't lived it down since....everytime I walk out the door there's a comment about "Don't lose the car".
