    weather in northeast?

I just read the northeast is having blizzard weather. Is this worse than the snow storms of the past few weeks? It sounds worse though they are not making as much out of it as before. We are supposed to get snow but it is so warm it's hard to believe.

This is what we are looking at where I live
Issued by The National Weather Service
    Portland, ME
    12:05 am EST, Mon., Mar. 1, 2010

... COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... ... COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY HAS EXPIRED...

THE COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON.

HIGH ASTRONOMICAL TIDES WILL COMBINE WITH AN INTENSE ATLANTIC STORM TO PRODUCE MINOR TO MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING ALONG THE SOUTHERN MAINE AND NEW HAMPSHIRE COASTLINES. THE TIDE GAGE AT PORTLAND MAY APPROACH 13 FEET DURING THE HIGH TIDE MONDAY MORNING AROUND 1113 AM. FLOOD STAGE IS 12 FEET. IN ADDITION TO THE FLOODING FROM THE STORM SURGE... SIGNIFICANT SPLASH OVER MAY ALSO OCCUR IN SACO AND ALONG PORTIONS OF THE NEW HAMPSHIRE SEACOAST. SEVERAL OF THE BEACH AREAS ARE NOW VULNERABLE DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT BEACH EROSION THAT HAS OCCURRED OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. COASTAL RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER... AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.

THE RAIN LATE THIS EVENING WILL GRADUALLY MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SNOW OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS AND THEN POSSIBLY END AS RAIN IN THE MORNING. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

IN ADDITION TO THE SNOWFALL... STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS WILL ACCOMPANY THE STORM. WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE ESPECIALLY IN EXPOSED AREAS AND IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW... SLEET... OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES... AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

    More Information

... STRONG ATLANTIC STORM WILL BRING A MIXED BAG OF SNOW AND RAIN TO MAINE AND NEW HAMPSHIRE...

A STORM SOUTH OF NOVA SCOTIA WILL STRENGTHEN THIS EVENING AND MOVE WESTWARD INTO THE GULF OF MAINE. AS IT DOES SO... PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE TO WRAP AROUND AND BRING PRECIPITATION TO COASTAL AND INTERIOR MAINE AND NEW HAMPSHIRE. DUE TO LOWER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE BEING RATHER WARM THE SNOW THAT OCCURS WILL BE VERY WET KEEPING ACCUMULATIONS DOWN... ALSO AT TIMES THE SNOW MAY BE MIXED OR CHANGE TO RAIN AT TIMES. THE STORM IS EXPECTED TO WIND DOWN BY LATER MONDAY MORNING.
I am just hoping for no more trees falling on my roof like it did Thursday night!!!

A dog is not almost human , I know of no greater insult to a canine than to describe it as such.
