thought I'd call my mom
My mom has been gone for 17 yrs and it crossed my mine today just for a second that I wanted to call and ask her something. For those of you who have lost someone, do you ever think just for a second that you are going to call them or something similar to that? My sister told me she has had thoughts cross her mind like that too. No I'm not completely crazy.

It happens to me too. My mom will have been gone 4 years in January. When something happens good to my kids I sometimes will think I can't wait to tell my mom then I remember she's not here anymore. You know there is not a day that doesn't go by when I don't think about my mom and dad and miss them. I have a book case that I have filled with their pictures. I also remember their voices because I never want to forget what they sounded like.

My mother has been gone for 3 yrs now and I still catch myself thinking that I need to call her. I was talking to my aunt (mom's sister) about it just last week. Strange, but I just forget at times she is not here any longer.

I do that with my dad. He's been gone a year and three months and I will catch myself about to call him then remember he's gone. It's strange to think I can't talk to him anymore.

I do it as well. I've lost some people close to me and always think of them when something exciting happens and want to give them a call.

I have picked it up sooo many times to do the same thing. Before I moved, I called her old number one more time.
Your stupidity still amazes me.

My mom will be gone 10 years this February and I wish I could call her .. there are times you just want to say hi.
Lately I have been seeing her birthday a lot 10/23 has been popping up everywhere. Guess it's her way of calling me to say hi .. lol.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

Besides the calling..I often find my self at the store and see a sale or something that she would have liked and I think to my self, OH I need to get some of that for mom..but as I reach for it I then remember she is no longer here..
I am glad I am not alone in these feelings..it is reassuring to know this.

My mom passed away 17 years ago this week. A few weeks ago I had the flu, and wanted my mom so bad!

My grandfather passed away almost 2 yrs ago. There are still times when I want to pick up the phone and call him at 7pm. That was our time to talk, when he knew I'd be home.
I still think of things to buy him for Christmas then remember that he's not here.
