Can someon tell what its called when....
you have a get together everyone brings outgrown clothes and stuff they no longer want. Then everyone that goes can take anything they can use.
I want to pitch this as an idea for my Early Headstart Parent Committee, and Swap really isn't the right word since I will bring stuff but I may not leave with anything if there isn't anything I can use. KWIM? Its more of a Free for all, but I am just wondering if there is a proper term for doing this.

One of my friends would do this every leap year, though not neccessarily on Feb. 29. She would call it a LEAP - Ladies Exchange Apparel Party. We usually had adult beverages and snacky foods, and it would start around 7 p.m. and last however long the women lasted Women's and childrens clothing were brought and swapped, and leftovers would be donated to Salvation Army, Goodwill, and a few church thrift shops.

What a great idea. I wish I had thought about something like this when I had littler kids that never wore their clothes before they outgrew them!
