I get some sun. Being half Portuguese I can tan pretty good after the Irish/Swedish burn before I get that tan lol
I cannot stay out in the sun for too long anymore because of my meds and I can heat stroke pretty easily..
Sunless tan lotion may be an option.. But spray on tans always look fake no matter who you are

I love being in the sun... even though I have to use sunscreen cause I am pale..lol.. it takes me a while to get a base tan...
I have heard that the jergens daily lotion with the self tanners in it works well.. its a gradual tan.. no orange streaks..
I ain't from the south... but I got here as fast as I could!

I have very light skin to and if I stay outside to long I burn. Try laying out for about 30 mins at a time thats what I do. I dont like the idea of tanning beds never tried one but just dont like it lol And I have tried the Jergens stuff and it wasnt gradual at all it got way to dark way to fast so you could def tell it was fake but I guess everybodys skin is different so who knows. Anyways good luck on getting a nice color!

I fake n bake lol....I go to the tanning salon once a year, usually starting in may for a month.....I am tanning at the moment and am very dark.....I dont like being out in the heat for long so I get my tan that way.....I feel so much better about myself when I am tan....I have adult acne and tanning clears it up............its very relaxing, I just lay there for the max. 20 minutes in the bed, listen to the music they have playing and just close my eyes and picture myself on an island somewhere....its 20 minutes of my day that is ALL me!

I'm German, Polish and Irish, and my skin is olive. But I know some pale complected people just burn when they try and tan, rather than get any color that lasts. I don't really tan either, incidentally, but thankfully I rarely burn.

Avon makes a great self tanning lotion for fair skinned or darker. It works with you body chemistry the right amount of moisturizer/tanner for your skin tone and you apply everyday and you slowly get a healthy glow not a "fake" tan it is more like a bronzer than anything but it may help.
They have skin so soft satin glow spray and skin so soft body firming moisturizer. just search for skin so soft satin glow http://www.avon.com/
I use it even though I tan just fine (THANKS DADDY).
Really?Thats probably not the smartest thing you have done today...HUH?

I haven't sunbathed since I was a teenager, I'm 42 now, and I have no wrinkles, my sister on the other hand sunbathed every summer and has always had a great tan, but by the time she was 30 she looked 50. I'd rather be 42 and look 30 than be 30 with a great tan and look 50.
I'm half Italian, so I have some color, and in the summer I use the fake tanners sparingly, just for a little extra color.

I use L'Oreal's moisturizer with a hint of tanner made for people with fair/light skin. I also use Olay's Touch of Sun moisturizer on my face. Both products work very well and give a natural glow.
