UGH Thx Pepsi4me
Because of you and your garden thread I started a second attempt at growing veggies

So far I have a shallow tote as my seedling starter.. I am trying to grow jalapeno and green peppers, broccoli, yellow squash, spinach. I already have 2 pots of basil that I started a month or so ago.
We have a very small brick line square plot me and the dh made for the veggies when they are ready.. I also have to put up a perimeter fencing system around it b/c of the squirrels
Yeah so I blame you....

I'm thinking about starting a garden as a project for my kids, but I don't think they will be very patient during the waiting process....

I would love to try something small but we have alot of chipmunks in our yard and they seem to get into anything and everything outside.

Hammy, we have rabbits really bad and they don't mess with my garden. I sprinkle cayenne pepper on the seedlings and then a spray of water, a few drops of dish soap (to make it stick) and cayenne pepper once they're bigger and it keeps most bugs and critters away.
My lettuce and onions and peppers are already sprouting and I just planted seeds 9 days ago. Never got my seeds from this person before, and I dried my own okra, so I hope they come up!

I stuck some grape tomatoes in dirt a few weeks ago, and now have to go thin out the seedlings...I hope this little experiment is successful!

we don't have any place to plant a garden here.. all desert landscaping so I have my "garden" set up in nice pots
They seem to be doing really well too, I got two strawberries, three different kinds of tomatoes (all small of course,) three kinds of hot peppers (mmm salsa!) and my basil. I'm growing some herbs indoors as well and they seem to be doing well.
I'm so jealous of all of you that get to have an actual garden, we had one when I was growing up and the food that came out of it.. YUM!

If you don't want dumb answers, don't ask dumb questions

Container gardens rock also.Soooo many options for pots and stuff *nod When we lived in a 3rd floor apartment we had a container garden on our porch. I'd rather grow herbs indoors as well, they do beeter in the pots imho
