Chess
My 10 year old son is really wanting to learn to play chess and I do not know how. I was wondering if anybody knew of a good site that we could look at? Thanks

It's really great that he wants to play chess... it makes ya think !
Does he know the men and the moves they make ? That's half the battle, the other is strategy ! I'm decent at chess, but, my hubster rocks !
He could start at yahoo games... beginner chess. It's easy and free ! Ya just need a yahoo log-in name. They have rooms from beginner to expert... you might have to "ok" a tiny 'plug-in', just click "yes" to install... there's nothing to it !
Hey, I am checking there as I type this... they even have all the rules he can read/copy etc...
Make your move to the all-new Yahoo! Chess with cool graphics, Yahoo! Avatars, and more!
Standard chess rules and scoring
Head-to-head multi-player action
Unlimited free play tables
Chat with friends and opponents

My son learned to play chess this year. He stayed after school and his social studies teacher taught him how. It is great your son is wanting to learn to play. Yahoo is a good place to start. Good luck to him!!
