guess some time around college for me. I got a Easter box one time in school. Will never forget it. Mom got me one of those big cookies and the said the icening would break off in shipping so she bought puffy easter bunny stickers w/ googly eyes. I opened the box to see a bunch of bunny's w/ googly eyes wabbling around and straight pins through their body to attach them to the cookie.

Once got a "basket" from my aunt that was a tera cotta chip/dip bowl w/ stuff in it.

I think the basket and the fillings just change as you get older.

Mom always did one for Daddy. He loved candy and she always fixed him a cute one every year into their 70s.

My girls are 17 and 13 and every Easter they look forward our Easter surprize hunt. What I do is leave post-its all around the house with clues on where to search for next to get their Easter surprise. They get such a kick out of this. Sometimes the post-its will be stuck on my husband's back or inside the fridge. After about 20 post-its they find their surprise. It used to be baskets, but since they get baskets from both grandparents, my ex and their uncle, dh and I get them gift cards to Borders (their favorite store) and put it in a Easter bunny ornament that opens up (much easier to hide than baskets).

Oh, and we still do the Easter egg hunt, too. One year I did one for the adults only and put things like refridgerator magnets, flower seeds, $5 bills, costume jewlery and one egg had Easter panties in it. That was the best year, especially since a man found that egg. All the adults loved it!

you are never to old to get an easter basket.

In my case, I have 3 nieces who are born very close together in March and April and therefore always around Easter. I do one for them and just put their birthday items in it.

But unlike a lot of other people, I still put in "children" toys, ie jacks, water guns, coloring books, crayons, and of course candy. The little kids think its a riot they get a basket and a lot of times get jealous of the toys the older ones get.

Dang I want some of you gals to be my Mommy! lol There were 8 of us growing up and we never got Easter baskets. We always got a coconut egg or a PB egg. My girls are 8 & 4 and of course the Easter Bunny does the whole basket thing and will probably continue as long as possible.

I will do one for my daughter this year. She is 23 and will be buying her first home three days after easter. I plan on a laundry basket being the "Easter Basket" and filling it with little things for the new place, as well as some of her favorite candy.

My mom made me one until she died. I was 33 then and still loved getting them. I miss getting them from her

I guess I will always do them for my kids, just like stockings at Christmas. Just adjust the goodies to the age.

My aunts are 81 and 91. They get Easter Baskets from me and hubby. They like them too and expect them.

While I don't make a basket for Randy, he does get those nasty looking Cadbury Eggs from me and hubby.
