Thumbs up I just made 7 layers bars for the 1st time-So yummy!

One of the girls at work brought some in a couple of weeks ago for a co-workers b-day & they were so good.
I happen to be going through a recipe card(found in a box/basement) collection that sis-in-law bought a few yrs ago & gave to me. This was one of the recipes & I had to make it.
They came out so good. They taste almost just like the Samoas Girl Scout cookies.

    1/4 lb. butter
    1 c. crushed graham crackers
    1 c. coconut flakes
1 pkg. Nestle chocolate chips (6 oz.)
1 pkg. Nestle butterscotch chips (6 oz.)
1 can sweetened condensed milk, NOT evaporated milk
1 c. walnuts meats, chopped (optional)

Melt butter in an 8 1/2 x 11 inch pan. Add layer by layer (do not mix) above ingredients in order listed.
Bake 32 minutes at 350 degrees in an aluminum pan OR 28 minutes at 350 degrees if a glass dish is used. Cut in bars when cool. Time baking carefully.

Mmmmmm, those look so yummy. Since it's snowing like crazy here, I think I'll stay in tonight and make these...especially if they taste like Samoas.

I did order a couple of boxes of Samoas the other day.

I'm also not crazy about coconut but they blend in well with the other ingredients.

how would this turn out without the coconut and walnuts? FIL is allergic to coconut and I don't like walnuts.
