I would be careful handling the puppy, looks kind of like ringworm, could just be the picture, but I would definitely get him checked out.

That was nice of you to rescue them. When Kevin and I got home this afternoon there was a cat at the house across the street inbetween the screen and the storm door. It was meowing but nobody would let it in. I don't know if they didn't hear it or what. It was only 28 degrees out today. We see lots of cats running around lose in the area. It's really sad that people leave their animals out in the cold like that.
I hope it's not ringworm that the puppy has because whoever has handled him will most likely get it as it's very contagious. Our cat Pyewacket had it when she was a kitten. The doctor thought at first that she might have had some sort of an allergy because she had patches of fur missing. He turned out the light in the examining room and then took some type of a light and held it over the area where the fur was missing and discovered that it was ringworm. He had to give her a shot for it because it was so bad and then I had drops that he gave me for it. I remember I had to keep them in the refrigerator. Everyone in the house got ringworm. It seemed to take a while for us to get rid of it.

People piss me off. Its freezing all over the country and yet people dump animals like they are so much garbage.
You sound like me. We were nearly rear ended on a road that goes over a narrow bridge because a turtle was crossing the road. My hubby stopped the car, got the turtle out of the road and took it down to the creek that runs under the bridge.

You are so sweet for taking this puppies in. I don't know how anyone could ever dump an animal in the middle of nothing. I bet the puppies are greatful!

Right now, I'm fostering a Rottie from a shelter here that was starved, then hit by a car. I really wish I could keep him, he is so adorable.
