    At 62 and if you are in good health you could get another one. They live to 18 years or a little more. Maybe get an older cat so you can see what kind of temperament they have.

    My sis and her husband didn't want another one after their last one died of old age but they had a tragedy happen and a relative brought over a stray and they took it. It has helped them deal with their mourning and grief.

    I didn't want another cat when mine died but 20 years later I got another one---really got two--- and they just fill up a hole in your heart. Maybe your husband will rethink it in a year or so. Huggs.
