Re: crockpot/corned beef??
Ok, after reading all these posts, I am going to HAVE to try this! I love the corned beef that is precooked in the can (I know, probably terrible for you, but I don't get it often). I have never cooked one myself, but am going to get one this week and cook it. Is it similar to the texture and taste of the canned corned beef? And, what do you all recommend for seasoning?

It will probably be more tender than the canned stuff. I admit to eating the canned stuff on occassion. (ducks head) Sometimes you just HAVE to have a grilled corned beef and swiss cheese sammich!

No seasonings needed. The corned beef has its own seasonings. I have never tried the stuff in the can but this will be so good you will LOVE IT

I love the stuff in the can! LOL I use it for homemade vegetable soups and everything. Its also good with fried potatoes, banana peppers, a little onion and crushed red pepper flakes, salt & pepper. (all in one skillet) Just eat it with slices of bread. Yum! That's what I'm making on St. Patty's Day.
I made my first real corned beef last year and I hated it. It just wasn't good to me. I made it in the crock pot and everything. I just really didn't like the flavor of it. I like the canned stuff much better. LOL
