There are places in Atlanta where prices are that high. Here in the suburbs reg. unleaded is averaging 3.19 a gallon.............except no one has any reg. unleaded...most stations are completely out of gas. DH had to drive around and look for a station that had gas today, he filled up and paid 3.39 for mid-grade.

Most of the southeast's gas comes from the Colonial pipeline....it was completely down due to a power failure until today.....it was pumping at 38% capacity earlier today and was supposed to be up to 60% by the end of the day.I'm curious to see if prices go back to what they were before or if they'll stay high.

Re: Gas prices on the rise???????

$3.09/gallon here and they are saying $4.00/gallon by Labor Day.

And why must people feel the need to blame everything on the President??? It isn't his fault that gas is the price it is. We have a President who has been faced with a lot in his term of office and all people do is crap on him .. give the man some respect! And from what I hear he is planning on tapping into our reserves!

There is a Citgo Oil Refinery in Shreveport LA that was shut down because Green Peace and people of the sort complained .. why not reopen that refinery and start pumping some needed oil??? The refinery's on the Gulf are only working at 50% compacity and even that is iffy because they aren't sure how long it will last. There are also the people of Alaska who want a refinery built in Alaska .. maybe this will open some eyes and allow that to happen.

Here is a site to find the cheapest and most expensive gas in your area .. www.gasbuddy.com .. just click on your state.

$3.09-$3.29 in Louisville. I heard it will be $4 dollars sometime this month and $5 is around the corner. They said our big stations shouldn't run out but the mom and pop stores will.

i just got home from a friends house. its a straight line right down the main road. gas goes from $3.19 at one station, $3.29, then across the street from that one it was $3.39, a block later it was $3.69, and the last one on the road was $3.89. now someone please tell me why such a difference on the SAME ROAD, all within 2 miles!??
