Re: Mother's Day Gifts
I agree! Its so hard for everyone to get together (I would imagine especially for you with one in the Army).
My oldest daughter hasn't answered my letter, so I don't know about her. My son is so tight he squeeks. lol I suppose that's a good thing. He's saving to buy a house. My youngest daughter is in college 2 1/2 hours from here, and she'll be 2 1/2 hours north of here on Sunday. I hope I at least hear from them.

Re: Mother's Day Gifts
I usually do not get anything so yesterday I bought 5, one from each kid and if I get something from the older ones then I do.

Re: Mother's Day Gifts
I hear ya. We will be together on Saturday for my grandson's first birthday party but on Sunday, nope, still not speaking with my oldest son (the one that his gf pushed me twice), my youngest daughter, who knows she is 23 and "busy" like my son, my oldest daughter (GS mother) we just started speaking over the past few months (she doesn't like the way I raised her, I was too strict, whatever). The boys are 11 and the will be with me. I am going to the "Race for the Cure", which I do every year and I think the boys are going. My 23 yr old, said she wanted to go THIS year but who knows. Anyway, it is my day and I will do whatever I want, oh yea my mother has been deceased since 1986 and I am an only child.

Re: Mother's Day Gifts
I got my mother a cotton robe which matches the nylon robe and night gown I got her at Christmas. Then she is getting a tea pot for the stove (hers has quit whistling) and a gift certificate for a massage.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

My 4 year old told me today that he is getting me a Ford F150 Hot Wheels car for Mothers day and a Jeep Grand Cherokee Matchbox car for my birthday this month. I bet you all are jealous...LOL.

Re: Mother's Day Gifts
Maybe you could call her. Also, there are some great cheap mother's day's gifts you could get her and send to her. Swiss Colony has some great stuff. So does Figi.
When my kids were little, we'd take them to mom's on grandparents day and go do stuff for ourselves. lol
I hope your mother's day goes well.

DH has to work and she's in WV, so its not going to happen. I got her a card yesterday but I still need to get her a gift. I don't know what to get her though. She doesn't like flowers, so sending her some is out of the question. I'll think of something though.
I guess I could ship her three kids down there for the weekend. LOL!! I'm sure she would just LOVE that. hehe
We have only gotten DH's mom a card so far too. We will pick her up a gift when I get my moms.
DH & the kids took me to Bob Evans for breakfast yesterday. That was part of my Mother's Day gift because DH has to work on Mother's Day.
I'm not sure what else I will get but I did tell him that I liked the pots of mini roses at the store. Maybe I'll get one or two of those.
I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day!!

Re: Mother's Day Gifts
Earlier this week I won in a raffle, a $50.00 Nordstrom gift card, so I am giving that to my mother, and I asked my son if he would wash my car for me on Mothers day, since he is 17 with limited funds.
