Please Tell Me We Have A Mechanic On This Board!!!!!

ok here is the problem.........my brake line broke on saturday while going to Morehead so hubby stopped at auto zone to get a new line and put it on right there..........well the ABS AND MY EMERGENCY BRAKE light will not go out now........hubby has took of the cable to reset the computer but still did not work......breaks are good and all but just need to get those crazy lights to go out HELP PLEASE

I'm not a mechanic, but if there is an Auto Zone close to you, they can put your car on the diagnostic computer for free.
Maybe that would help?

I know some cars dash lights come on for no reason.

DH asked if your DH bled them (checked for air in the lines)?

we bled them he always does that when he messes with the brakes.....i do the pumping ......lol.....

no flash light here I never hold it still enough.....lol...got him some lights on the poles and a hanger light thing to use then he can argue with himself....lol

First thing first.............DON"T GO TO AUTO ZONE!!!! Go to ADVANCE!!
LOL

IF it is a GM product you will need to have someone bleed the system with a scan tool, that is the only way to get the light out.
If it is NOT a GM product, bleed the whole break system.

it is a ford aerostar........i love it.............lol.......never have had that happen before so has him stumped might bled them some more and see if that helps them....HOPE

check the fluid in the master cylinder, it may need more fluid in it. if not it probably needs bled again.
