WOOT! We're movin up in the world!
Now how will I be able to tell a police officer from a security guard
Tulsa - There's Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue and the Thin Blue Line. Blue is the dominant color in police uniforms. But, not in Tulsa, where uniforms are green and tan. But, that will soon change when Tulsa Police join the long blue line.
Tulsa police officers have worn the standard green uniforms for more than fifty years. But now, they are outdated, expensive and Tulsa is the last major city to wear them. More than 90 percent of police departments in the U.S. wear the blue uniforms.
When Tulsa first started using the uniforms, they were very inexpensive. In 1953, a shirt and slacks cost fifty cents. But now, only one mill in the U.S. makes the material. Sergeant Dave Edwards wrote the proposal to get the uniforms changed.

Re: WOOT! We're movin up in the world!
Blue is cool. In our area we even have a Blue Line business which is run by the police. I think they do printing and like related stuff for the department and others. Or so I've been told.
