Thread: Low Rider Pants Law In Virginia

Cant believe they are spending time on this in Virginia.........working on making it against the law to have any underwear showing with low rider pants.......not really sure how this would be any different than some of the swimming suits that are out there.........surely there is tax laws and other things more important to consider............at least one would think.

DH was telling me about it the other day.... I think its stupid. If they want to call it indecent exposure, then go for it and give out tickets, but don't spend time making an entire new law.

They are targeting the guys who are wearing the baggy pants and have the boxers showing... but of course they aren't after the girls w/ their thongs showing

I heard the ACLU was involved because they are now calling it racial profiling... which is funny because I'm confused as to which race they are talking about... all the boys here do it.

I live in VA and this is the first I had heard, although I have not been searching for Stupid State Laws! Yes, there is plenty other things going on in this area that they should be worring about BUT that is just another way for the government to screw us out of a few more tax dollars!

They tried that here in LA. Seems you can not legistlate "good Taste"

VA doesn't much go for lots of teen fads from what I've seen since many of my neighbors were from VA and WVA. As far as racial profiling, both my local grandsons wear stuff with their Joe Boxer shorts showing. One has a black friend and he wouldn't be caught dead with his undies showing. I have a 23 yr. old grandgirl that her thongs always show. That I think is disgusting but not the boxer shorts. At least boxer shorts don't show "the crack"

There should be some kind of law against girls wearing pants INTENTIONALLY to show of there thongs. I'm 30 & could dress like that if I wanted to, but I think its disgusting. Now if they are going to some HOOCHIE bar, then fine, dress like a HOOCHIE, but if your going to the mall dressed in your low riding jeans with your thong sticking out, I don't want children having to see it. It is LEWD! JMO

If I had a body where I could pull of the thong look, I'd do it in a heartbeat LOL

well i don't think that indecent but it certainy looks trashy. when i see a chic with low riders and a thong not so low the first thing i think is skank-o-rama.

I don't like the look but teenages want to do something to look different. I imagine all of you can think of something you or your friends did to look unlike adults and like your peers. I remember peroxide in the bangs flip so that it looked some shade of orange. And then there were the flat tops for the boys. My son's generation wanted long hair. And now the body piercings are in and the tatoos. Some of these styles carry on into adulthood but many start out as a peer group thing. To each his own. Leave them alone. I think a half dressed girl looks much worse than the guys with their underwear showing and certainly beats the ----crack showing.
