Re: ISO Show & Tell Ideas for "Q"
a quilt (baby doll size)
quince (probably won't be able to find one)
Queen (playing card)
quack ( a stuffed duck that quacks?????)
Some mornings it's not worth the effort of chewing through the restraints.

quart (quart size non-breakable jar or pitcher)

Re: ISO Show & Tell Ideas for "Q"
It's an exotic fruit, that's why I said you will probably not be able to find one. I have never seen it in the store. But maybe a picture of one would work?
I like the quilt too, it's an actual thing instead of a picture.

Re: ISO Show & Tell Ideas for "Q"
A quince is a fruit.
You can also send a picture of a "quartet", a "quart" of milk, a set of quadruplets, a quail, a quake, a box of Quaker Oats, a Quaker, Quarry, Quartz, Quills(porcupine), or even Quintuplets.

Re: ISO Show & Tell Ideas for "Q"
Oh, I remember having to come up w/Q ideas. But it wasn't a show n tell thing, the kids needed to write the ideas on a piece of paper. I got 2 of em in the same class, so it was dbl duty for me. One word i had come up w/was the word quiche.
Good luck. There's alot of good ideas listed.

Re: ISO Show & Tell Ideas for "Q"
I did this with my niece and this was great, we used the word "QUICK", and showed a PB&J, and then she made them for the class, it really wasn't too QUICK, but the idea for her was "MAMA'S QUICK lunch/snack..so a 1/2 loaf of bread, and PB and Jelly brought in a plastic knife and her way of doing it, and then the teacher cut the sandwiches into 4 squares each and it was a great time had by all...if I suggest one thing, just PB sandwiches is enough, QUICK wasn't the greatest word for this idea, she wasn't QUICK, but the idea and the "snack" superceeded the whole idea..soo the show and tell in this case had a word to be used in an idea..and realy it was a great one as the next week they carried it over and got all the kids to try how "QUICK" they were to make those sandwiches which got alot of parents, outta having to "anty up for the snack" that day..which leads me to this, this got a hands-on participation thing going..which was good, now every month I go for the continuance of this idea..we have done way other things as well, using the word to present adjectives and verbs..very fun..
Just my 2 cents..

At last....my love has come around..

Re: ISO Show & Tell Ideas for "Q"
I think the quilt is a good idea too. If you have plenty time grab some old material and you and her cut a few squares and sew it together. since she is so young take yarn and sew it together with. make it baby doll size. will be a good project for mom and daughter and will be great keepsake for you.
